Al-Kafeel investments company starts harvesting (900) dunums of wheat crop

The staffs of Al-Kafeel company for public investments in the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine have started harvesting wheat in (900) dunums of its farms.

The deputy director of Agriculture and livestock affairs at the company, engineer Ali Maz'al, said that "the staff of Al-Kafeel company for public investments, under the auspices of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, started harvesting the wheat crop in the farms of Khairat Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), an area of (900) dunums, cultivated according to modern pivotal techniques".

"The varieties of the wheat crop on this farm have varied between local and imported varieties, and will be marketed to Karbala silo,"he added.

He pointed out that"the rest of the existing crops are used as filler feed and coarse feed, for livestock in the Al-Kafeel company for public investments".

Part of these crops goes to the seed and grain purification plant, to be seeds for the coming seasons.
