As a part of the activities devoted to serve the holy book of God, the Holy Quran Institute in the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has completed all technical and logistical preparations for the start of the first national Quranic contest for the graduates of the National Project courses to prepare Quran readers in Iraq, which is the first of contests of this blessed project.
This event will start on Friday morning 23rd Rabi' At-Thani 1436 AH corresponding to the 13th February, 2015 at the hall of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him) for conferences and seminars at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, with the participation of 200 contestants from most of Iraq's provinces.
The competition will continue for three days in which international standards will be applied, under the supervision of international arbitrators and professors specialists in the field of recitation of the Holy Quran. About 200 contestants will participate in this competition so 30 of them will go to the second round, in which only three will go to the final phase.
During the opening and the closing ceremonies, Quranic evenings along with religious psalms will be held inside the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
It is noteworthy that the Holy Quran Institute in addition to the establishment of this contest, it has organized many Quranic evenings and takes care of the talented children and the youth by the development of their talents in the learning, recitation and interpretation of the Holy Quran, as well as cooperating with the other Quranic institutions to exchange experiences and participate in competitions and festivals, and opening preparation courses for the Quran teachers.
