Al-Abbas's (P) Squad holds the eighth annual ceremony commemorating the liberation of Bashir's Kasbah in Kirkuk

Al-Abbas's (P) Squad held the eighth annual ceremony commemorating the liberation of al-Bashir's Kasbah in Kirkuk province from the control of Daesh terrorist gangs.

The ceremony was held under the auspices of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the presence of representatives of the security authorities, dignitaries of Kirkuk governorate and a large gathering of the people of Kasbah al-Bashir and the families of the martyrs.

The ceremony began with the reading of verses from the Holy Quran by the reciter Mohammad al-Mousawi, followed by the reading of the Fatiha Surah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, listening to the Iraqi national anthem and the anthem of the Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine, followed by the speech of the people of Kasbah al-Bashir delivered by the representative of the religious authority in the province of Kirkuk, Mr. Qanbar al-Mousawi, and the speech of the leader of the Al-Abbas's (P) Squad; Sheikh Maytham al-Zaidi.

Mr. Qanbar al-Mousawi thanked in his speech the mujahideen who defended their country and their holy places and responded to the fatwa of efficient defense.

In turn, Sheikh al-Zaidi confirmed in his speech that the liberation of the village of al-Bashir in the province of Kirkuk was at the recommendation of the supreme authority; Sayed al-Sistani, as are his recommendations to protect all Iraqis.

The ceremony included the recitation of poems on the occasion of this anniversary by the poet Nadhim al-Hashi, and the poet Mustafa al-Kadhemi amid a great interaction of the audience.

The ceremony concluded with the distribution of blessed gifts to the families of the martyrs in Kasbah al-Bashir and the holding of a special lottery to select three winners to perform Umrah and two to perform the Ziyarat of Imam Ali bin Musa al-Redha (peace be upon him).
