The people of Karbala commemorate the martyrdom of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) in the city of Kadhemiya

The procession of the people of Karbala commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ja'far as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) in the city of Kadhemiya in the capital Baghdad.

The mourners extended condolences to Imam Musa al-Kadhem at his holy shrine in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of his father (peace be upon them), and set up a council of condolence in the courtyard of the holy Imams al-Kadhem and al-Jawad (peace be upon them), in coordination with the Department of Hussayni Rituals and Processions in Iraq and the Islamic world affiliated with the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them).

Mr. Haydar Ibrahim Abdul Hussein, one of the staff of the Department, said that "the procession of the processions of the people of Karbala is an annual tradition that they used to hold, in cooperation with the department, to commemorate the occasions of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)".

He added that"the procession included the recitation of a number of poems and elegies embodying the depth of this painful tragedy, and expressing their condolences to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)".

The procession consists of Hussayni parties, bodies and processions in the holy city of Karbala, in addition to a group of people from the province.
