The Department of Knowledge Affairs holds a condolence Council in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him)

The Department of Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs held a condolence Council in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

The council organized the Basra Heritage Center of the department, in the presence of its employees and the administration of the Imam al-Hujjah complex(may Allah hasten his holy reappearance), and a gathering of religious scholars, professors and academics, as well as representatives of religious and scientific institutions.

The council, in which Sheikh Ali al-Matturi lectured, dealt with various topics, including the life of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him), the religious, scientific and political roles and stages that he went through, as well as his age, which is the longest among the ages of the holy imams(peace be upon them), as he completed his life by obeying Allah Almighty and serving humanity, and publishing the lessons and goals of the Ahl al-Bayt school(peace be upon them).

He highlighted the Imam's blessed biography, which lasted for three decades and in which he was the contemporary of two imams of guidance (peace be upon them), and their effects were clear on his life and his holy biography.

The council included talking about the breadth and comprehensiveness of his Sciences in various fields of knowledge, which made his intellectual University an attraction for the participation of scholars, researchers and students, who numbered almost a thousand scholars in various types of Sciences and knowledge.
