The Department of Intellectual Affairs and the delegation of the Imam Ali's (p) Shrine discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the field of indexing and manuscripts

The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the delegation of the Imam Ali's (p) holy shrine discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the field of cataloguing and manuscripts.

This came during the delegation's visit to the Cataloguing and Information Systems Center and the Manuscripts Library and House in the department, within the frameworks of joint cooperation in the restoration of manuscripts, their photocopying, cataloging and classification.

The director of the center, Mr. Hassanein Moussawi, said that"the Center for Cataloguing and Information Systems received the delegation of the Imam Ali's (p) Holy Shrine, within the framework of joint cooperation between the two sides in the restoration of manuscripts and their photocopying, cataloguing and classification".

He added that"the delegation of the Imam Ali's (p) Shrine specialized in the field of cataloguing, classification, photography and restoration, reviewed the latest scientific and cognitive methods in the library and House of manuscripts of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs".

"The visit came to open new horizons for cooperation and communication in the field of libraries and information systems and the exchange of visits between the two holy shrines,"he added.

For his part, The Librarian of the Library of Imam Ali's (p) Shrine; Sayed Karrar al-Helo, said that "the visit came to see the latest scientific developments and efforts exerted in archiving and documenting the Iraqi and Arab scientific output, which is carried out by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and we appreciate the effective steps in the completion of important projects.

He pointed out that"the delegation is working to conclude agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two holy shrines, at the level of the two libraries and the rest of the departments of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine".
