"Agricultural and vegetable crops were planted in order to invest land and abundant water in diversifying production of crops (eggplant, okra, onions, peppers, cucumbers of all kinds) as well as other crops needed by local markets," Mutaib said, noting that "the department provides the host restaurant of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine with agricultural and vegetable crops in the needed quantities.
He added that "the staffs of the Department continue to invest the land in the southern green belt, after planting it with palms and fruit trees, and trees that are dust repellents".
He continued, " the cultivation of crops is characterized by accuracy, follow-up and control using pesticides, no waste of water, and the process of crop containment is carried out in a proper way, which helped these crops to be of the first class and cannot be compared with second-class crops."
