The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participates in the book exhibition in Muscat..

In its first international participation, the International Al-Ameed Centre for Research and Studies of the Department of Intellectual Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, has participated in the events of the Book Exhibition of Muscat in its twentieth edition in the Sultanate of Oman, which started on Wednesday the 5th of Jumada Al-Ula 1435 AH corresponding to the 25th of February, 2015 and will last for 10 days. It is one of the important international exhibitions in the Middle East and in the world. This participation came in order to foster the intellectual cooperation between researchers and scientists and for the service of the cultural movement on one hand, and on the other hand it is one of the steps included in the Centre’s plan of the openness to the world as a way to introduce the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and its activities in General, and this new Center and its publications that have achieved major breakthroughs.

The Director of the Al-'Ameed Centre, Dr. Riyad Al-'Ameedi stated in a call to the Al-Kafeel Network: "We seek through this participation to spread the bright science of the school of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and what it has produced in modern scientific ways far from the language of intolerance and conflict, the products of the holy shrine joined the academic publications, as we participated in this pavilion with a set of the publications of the Al-'Ameed magazine for research and the humanitarian scientific studies, which was the first nucleus for the emergence of the Al-'Ameed International Centre for research and studies. We have participated also with the Al-Baher magazine that is also a scientific research magazine, and the magazine of Karbala heritage issued by the Centre of Karbala heritage, as well as the publications of the Centre of Strategic Islamic Studies at the holy shrine, which issues Al-'Aqeedah magazine, and the magazine of the Orientalist studies, in addition to an impressive set of books issued by the Department of Intellectual Affairs."

Adding: "Al-'Ameed Centre will be a real addition to this international event, especially since the centre's management is determined for the openness and the participation in such exhibitions, as well as signing protocols and holding meetings with other research centres and academic institutions in the Sultanate of Oman for the intellectual and research cooperation and a fruitful scientific communication to continue to serve the educated elite in the Arab community."

It is worth mentioning that the objective of the creation of the Al-'Ameed International Centre for Research and Studies is to take care of the research academic work with a specific institutional mechanism, to pursuit the knowledge ambitions, to support the cultural, intellectual and university movement through the academic minds and their publications, to embrace the scientific projects with innovative spirit, to serve the society and especially the university with the help of the best of academicians to create an active society that is capable to create a living knowledge industry.

It is noteworthy that the International Book Exhibition of Muscat is a cultural event and a great chance for cultural dialogue and convergence of ideas and intellectuals through the various cultural events held during the days of the exhibition, in which more than 633 publishers have participated, including 481 publishers from 24 countries.
