The Department of Intellectual Affairs organizes an integrated program for the delegation of the Iraqi scientific complex

The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine organized an integrated program for an academic delegation from the Iraqi scientific complex.

The visit comes as part of a series of joint cooperation between the department and the scientific complex in the field of exchanging experiences and organizing field visits to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

One of the staff of the cataloguing and Information Systems Center in the Department, Mr. Ali Taleb Kadhem, said that"the delegation conducted a field tour that included visiting the cataloguing and Information Systems Center, the library and the House of manuscripts of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, as well as the Center for the restoration of manuscripts belonging to the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs.

"The delegation was briefed on the mechanism of the workflow in the Departments of the indexing Center represented by the (indexing, archiving, descriptive and thematic indexing, and the thematic control department), to identify the reality of its work and the services it provides to beneficiaries,"he added.

"The visit included the presentation of a seminar to introduce the projects of the indexing Center represented by the Iraqi portal of knowledge and the reference file of Iraqi authors, as it added a new tributary for researchers and beneficiaries in attracting intellectual sources,"he added.

For her part, The Librarian of the scientific complex, Dr. Nadia Ghadban Mohammed, said that "the visit came to see the mechanism of the center's work and the services it provides to beneficiaries, through building a very wide database as well as employing digital technology in a high manner, which bodes well for this center to have a wider horizon in the movement of scientific research in the future".

"The cooperation between the Iraqi scientific community and the holy shrine is not new, but extends for years, and we seek to be key partners in providing knowledge and spreading science,"she explained.
