The holy shrines of Karbala commemorate the Martyrdom anniversary of Lady Az-Zahra (peace be upon her)..

According to the narration of the martyrdom of Lady Az-Zahra 75 days after the holy Prophet (prayers and Allah's peace be upon him and his holy Household), 13the of Jumada Al-Ula is the martyrdom's anniversary of the truthful pure Fatima Az-Zahra, the Lady of all worlds' women (peace be upon her), about whom the Messenger of Allah (prayers and Allah's peace be upon him and his holy Household) has said: "Verily, God gets angry when Fatima is angry, and He is pleased when she is pleased, Fatima is part of me he who harms her harm me and he who loves her love me. Fatima is my heart and the soul which is between my two sides. Fatima is the Lady of all worlds' women."

So, to commemorate this occasion, on Thursday afternoon 13th Jumada Al-Ula 1436 AH corresponding to the 5th of March 2015, a consolation procession of the servants of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) lead by the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, a number of the board members and some officials started to present their condolences to Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) on this painful occasion, they were welcomed by the servants of the Imam Al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine to held a condolence Majlis, in which many poems and epitaphs that embodied this calamity were read by Haj Bassem Al-Karbala'i.

On the other hand, the two holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) have prepared as usual in the commemoration of the births and martyrdoms' anniversaries of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) a condolence program that includes covering the two holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) with black to receive condolence processions and visitors, who come from within and outside the holy city of Karbala to present their condolences to Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) as well as holding a variety of religious and awareness lectures that speak about the greatness of this personality and the misfortunes that befell on her after the martyrdom of her father the greatest Messenger of Allah (prayers and Allah's peace be upon him and his holy Household).

It is worth mentioning that there is no known date for her martyrdom's anniversary (peace be upon her). In fact there are three narrations stating three different dates of her martyrdom after the holy prophet (prayers and Allah's peace be upon him and his holy Household), that is why the faithful commemorate each year her martyrdom three times according to the different narrations, and her martyrdom's anniversary is called "the Season of the Fatimi sorrows."
