The procession of the people of Karbala commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Mohammad al-Jawad(peace be upon him) at his holy shrine in the city of Kadhemiya.

The assistant head of the Department of Hussayni Rituals and Processions in Iraq and the Islamic world, affiliated with the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon him); Sayed Mohammed al-Taweel, said that "the processions of the people of Karbala meet with their varieties, parties and bodies, in cooperation with the Department of rituals to organize a unified condolence procession representing the people of the city, to offer condolences in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Jawad(peace be upon him)".

He added that"the department has provided an appropriate number of buses to transport mourners to the city of Kadhemiya, and return them after the completion of the condolences ceremonies, as well as providing meals to visitors".

"The procession of the people of Karbala, upon arrival at the holy shrine, held a condolence Council, in which many poems and Husseini laments were delivered, with the participation of a large gathering of mourners,"he explained.
