Director of the Office of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine: the research of the defense fatwa conference contributes to strengthening community peace

The director of the Office of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Dr. Afdhal al-Shami, confirmed that the research of the first scientific conference on the fatwa of sufficient duty of defense contributes to strengthening community peace.

The conference is held by the Abbas's(peace be upon him) Squad in cooperation with the Faculty of political sciences at the University of Baghdad, under the slogan ("sufficient duty of defense" is a decade of giving and building), at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

Al-Shami said that" the conference's research on the role of religious authority and the fatwa of sufficient duty of defense contribute to strengthening societal peace inside Iraq, as this fatwa dealt with how society can benefit from it in promoting peace, "pointing out that"researchers have put forward evidence of this through their research."

He added that" the Blessed fatwa was met by various sectors of the Iraqi people, as well as participated in the liberation of places occupied by ISIS gangs, and this enhances community peace, as well as affirming the religious authority in its directives to the fighters to respect the areas and their people that they go to liberate, "noting that"the conference raised the issue of the need to document this stage, in order to strengthen community peace in the future, so that there is permanence to achieve the goals of this blessed fatwa."

"In general, we hope that this conference will contribute to documenting and promoting what has happened through these researches and the ideas that are being put forward, so that we have fulfilled our duty towards this blessed fatwa, our society and future generations,"al-Shami said.
