Photos.. Crowds of believers revive Arafah day in Karbala

Believers celebrated the ceremony of Ziyarat the day of Arafah at the Shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) in the holy city of Karbala.

Visitors from inside and outside Iraq flocked to perform these religious rituals, amid a comprehensive security, service and health alert to serve the Faithful Masses.

The square between the Two Holy Shrines and the areas surrounding the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine witnessed a large crowd of visitors, who performed Ziyarat ceremonies, supplications and prayers under the sun.

This annual Ziyarat comes on the ninth of Dhu al-Hijjah, as believers head to Karbala to commemorate this blessed day at the two holy shrines.

As part of the efforts to facilitate this Ziyarat, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine provided a variety of services to visitors.

The services included providing the necessary health and medical facilities, providing drinking water and places for rest, organizing traffic and facilitating access to the two holy shrines through a tight security plan to ensure the safety of visitors.

The holy shrine provided free meals and distributed them to visitors, and provided first aid and emergency medical care services through specialized teams equipped with the latest equipment, which came within the framework of the efforts of the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine to provide the best services to visitors and facilitate the performance of the Ziyarat ceremony in a safe and comfortable atmosphere.
