The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine sponsors the events of the annual central ceremony for the Eid Al-Ghadeer

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine witnessed the activities of the annual central ceremony of the Eid al-Ghadeer, held by the processions and bodies of the city of Karbala.

The ceremony was held in the presence of the secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed. Mustafa Mortada Aal Dia-Uddin, a number of members of the holy shrine's Board of directors and heads of its departments, and with the participation of a large number of visitors.

Sayed Aal Dia-Uddin said that" the people of Karbala held their ceremony in memory of Al-Ghadeer in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and under the auspices of the general secretariats of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them),"while praying the Almighty Allah, on this occasion to protect Iraq and its people and the supreme religious authority, and to bestow security and safety over the world.

For his part, the head of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Aqeel al-Yasiri, said that "the people of Karbala used to organize a central celebration in the Courtyard of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) on Eid al-Ghadeer, and this celebration includes various events combining vertical and popular poetry, and reading religious chants that reflect our love and loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)".

He added that"this year's ceremony was attended by Husseini processions from different cities and provinces, such as Salah al-Din represented by Balad and Dujail, and Babylon represented by the cities of Al-Qasim and Hamza al-Gharbi, and they honored the banner of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)".

He added that"the annual central ceremony of Eid Al-Ghadeer concluded by holding a draw for the participants in the Ghadeer competition, distributing the coupons of the competition to the participants and honoring the winners with various prizes, including Umrah to the Holy House of Allah, the Ziyarat of Imam Ali bin Musa al-Reda (peace be upon him), and the Ziyarat of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), in addition to distributing gifts to those present.
