Choosing a photo of a sad child in the month of Muharram among the best photos in an international competition

A photo of the photographer of the media department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Mr. Samer al-Husseini, was selected among the best photos in the 35th International thematic competition in Russia, in which more than 16 thousand photos participated.

Al-Husseini said that the photograph, which bears the name (sayha), tells about a child in the month of Muharram, showing the features of sadness on her face for what happened to Imam al-Hussayn and his family and companions (all peace be upon them) this month.

"According to the results of voting in the international photography competition for the black and white axis, the image was selected from the top 1% of the 16,670 participating photos of (3,270) photographers from (94) countries and (967) cities .

Al-Husseini explained that this is not the first time that his photos have won advanced positions in international competitions, and the superiority in the competition is the superiority of the name of Iraq, especially the holy city of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) Karbala.
