The director of the AL-Kafeel Center for translation, Dr. Haider al-Mousawi, said that"an important workshop in English was held on the sidelines of the international Imamate week in its second edition, with a number of researchers who participated in the week's activities from outside Iraq, where it dealt with the importance of translation in the Western world, and the quality of translated sources of interest to the reader in the West."
He added,"the workshop discussed many topics, including the importance of knowing people and writers interested in the affairs of the Ahl al-Bayt(peace be upon them), as well as the importance of refereed journals at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine and their role in spreading awareness in Western societies, as well as ways to upgrade these journals through holding qualitative meetings between editors and magazines of international universities, in addition to conducting joint research between foreign and Iraqi researchers."
He explained that"the workshop came up with a number of recommendations, the most important of which is to emphasize the need to create an effective group for communication between researchers by creating their own channel on the "WhatsApp" platform and calling it the "Ahl al-Bayt writers" Group".
"The workshop included the presentation of a proposal from one of the foreign researchers, which includes conducting a joint research on Shiite studies in Germany, and discussing the rituals and customs of the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt doctrine (peace be upon them) in Canada and Iraq, provided that it is a comparative study,"he added.
