The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held a Husseini condolence Council to commemorate the nights of the holy month of Muharram in the state of Liberia.
The establishment of the council was supervised by the African Studies Center of the department, in cooperation with the Al-Ghadeer Foundation.
The council witnessed the presence of a gathering of followers and lovers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), during which the coordinator of the center in Liberia, Sheikh Saleh Karamo Fofana, gave a lecture in which he discussed aspects of the biography of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and highlighted his insight.
Sheikh Saleh explained that "one of the most prominent qualities of the Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) is the depth of his thinking, and his support for his brother Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), which made him rise to the heights of honor and glory and immortalize his memory throughout history".
The lecture showed the firmness of the faith of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which was manifested in his departure to the arenas of jihad at the hands of the Master of martyrs (peace be upon him), and that his sacrifices stemmed from his deep faith".
