The poem that won the first place was of the poet Ibrahim Mohamed Abu Shafee' from Saudi Arabia, the second place went to the poet Hussayn Gate' Jar-Allah Al-Awadi from Iraq and the third place went to the poet Ahmad Radiy Salman from Bahrain.
The closing ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran followed by the word of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine delivered on behalf of its Secretariat-General by the Head of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Sayed. Layth Al-Musawi. which he started by saluting the audience and presenting them his condolences for the death's anniversary of Lady Umm Al-Baneen (peace be upon her), saying that she has consoled Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the best of ways, as she offered her beloved sons "the four moons" Al-Abbas and his brothers (peace be upon them) for the sake of their love and as a redemption of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
Adding: "Arabs were since the early times famous by their poesy, which is not only a litterature's reference but also a historical document that immortalized a lot of events, facts and characters.
And we want to speak about this prosperous moon Al-Abbas son of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon all of them) we feel that the words can never describe him and would not express his status, as he was the role model for fidelity, steadfastness, fulfilment and altruism... he was the one who deserved to be the banner's bearer of the beloved grandson of the Holy Prophet (prayers and Allah's peace be upon him and his holy Household).
The virtues of this great hero make the believer who writes about him with deep insight honoured and proud, hoping to be a bit closer to him, our master and intercessor Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
Noting: " We are pleased to held every year at this time this contest to listen to the valuable poets rhyming about the love and loyalty of the supporter of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) the good servant Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him). The participation this year is more interesting and more varied, four came from the land of Hijaz the land of two holy mosques, one from Syria, one of Bahrain and four came from the land of our beloved Imams (peace be upon them) Iraq. Asking the Almighty God the success for all participants."
Sayed. Al-Musawi at the end of his speech has thanked and praised the poets, the members of jury and all the media that contributed to the broadcast of this competition.
And Finally, the names of the top three winners were announced in addition to seven others, followed by the distribution of the prizes and appreciation certificates for the jury and those who have contributed to the success of this competition.
It is to mention that the Sixth International Al-Jood Contest for the vertical poesy praising Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) sponsored for the sixth year in row by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine was held under the slogan "The wisdom's fountains erupt by literature and poetry at the holy shrine of the thirst's quencher."
