The people of Karbala commemorated the seventh day of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hussayn and his family (peace be upon them) and his companions, through a procession (the mourning of the seventh of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)) at the shrine of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in the province of Najaf Al-Ashraf.
The procession was held with the support of the Husseini rituals and processions Department in Iraq and the Islamic world, as it provided (50) buses to transport the mourners to Najaf province back and forth, as well as facilitating the entry of the procession and organizing it.
Several departments of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine contributed to organizing the mourning procession of the seventh of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), including the Department of mechanisms, whose staff participated in transporting the mourners, in addition to the participation of the Department of religious tourism and the division of Sayed servants, to provide support for the events of the procession and accompany the participants by offering condolences to the Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), on the anniversary of the seventh day of the martyrdom of his son Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
The people of Holy Karbala used to commemorate Ashura from the beginning until the seventeenth of the holy month of Muharram, which marks the seventh day of the martyrdom of the Master of martyrs (peace be upon him).
