The beauty of calligraphy and the precision of manufacturing concord in the Quranic Plate installed on the top of the new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)..

The works continue on the new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and there is a tangible and visible progress in both the manufacturing and the installation on the wooden structure. And lately the works of manufacturing of the Quranic plate that will be located on the upper part of the grid on all its four sides were launched, and this is one of three plates of the grid, as one of them is a poetic plate and the two others are Quranic separated by a part called "Kalawi" and topped by a silver frame.

The plate is a metal strip made of copper material on which it is inscribed "Surah Ad-Dahr" with a height of 18,5cm, a thickness of 7mm and a length of 19,78m, it was cut geometrically according to every part of the Surah to not affect the flow of the Surah, and it is one of the new additions to this plate as the old one was cut in equal parts with a weight of 7kg.

The Quranic plate was written using the line of Thuluth by the famous Iraqi calligrapher, the professor of Arabic calligraphy and decoration in the Baghdad University, Dr. Roudhan Al-Bahya, the ratification of the line type, movements and drawing style were taken from the Iraqi calligraphers association. The plate passes through several stages to achieve its final form, as after taking the necessary measurements and the fonts on which it will be engraved on the (CNC), the lines are corrected and the movements [harakat] are put manually, as the machine does not give the required results, then came the works of eradicating metal additions (trimming), smoothing, polishing and welding the linking points to the wooden structure, and after being sure of its compliance with the measurements by linking them to the wooden structure, the works are concluded by painting it with gold water and enamel, which are made in private workshops inside of the factory of the shrines' grids at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, using high standards and accurate mixing ratios.

This plate like the other parts is distinguished by the feature of installation, which is one of the additions created on the new grid, it is a modern artistic method different from the used fixation methods as it is hidden and looks like one piece with other parts. And thankfully the completion of this plate has achieved advances stages as a large section is already installed on the wooden structure of the new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
