The ceremony was attended by the deputy secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine; Mr. Abbas Moussa, members of the board of Directors Mr. Jawad Al-Hasnawi and Dr. Abbas al-Deda Moussawi, a number of officials of the holy shrine and official and social figures.
It began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader Ali al-Saadi, followed by the speech of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine delivered by Sayed Adnan Gelokhan, in which he explained the importance of renewing the Husseini Rite every year by raising the banner of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), on which the name of the bearer of Major General Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was written so that visitors coming for Ziyarat Arba'een to renew the covenant to follow the correct approach of Imam (peace be upon him) drawn on Ashura day.
A member of the board of Directors of the holy shrine and supervisor of the complex; Sayed Jawad Al-Hasnawi, said: "the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine has always held a ceremony every year to raise the banner of the hussayni service in the Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) Service Complex".
"This ceremony marks the opening of the doors of the complex to provide its services to the distinguished visitors arriving in Karbala to perform the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him),"he added.
The ceremony included the reading of Husseini poems by the poet Ali Al-Saffar, in addition to the participation of the late Mohammed Amir Tamimi with a sad obituary.
The complex is located on the road connecting the provinces of Najaf and Karbala, where visitors passing to the shrine of the Lord of martyrs and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), to perform Ziyarat Arba'een ceremonies.
