The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has initiated the establishment of a water station on the Ya Hussein road linking Najaf and Karbala, after appeals of the residents of the Al-Fayyada area about the scarcity of water in this area and its environs.
The construction of the water station, which will supply the area and the Husseini service processions deployed nearby, was carried out by the staff of the Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, equipped with equipment with international specifications and facilities.
The supervisor of the project, engineer Bassam Al-Hashimi, said that"the Engineering Projects Department has completed the construction of a liquefaction station in Ya Hussein road, starting from pillar 757, all the way to the Zubailiya Junction, due to the lack of liquefaction water in that area, and as a result of appeals from residents and owners of processions and Husseini bodies scattered on the road."
He added that"the station was established on the Euphrates River in the Al-Fayyada area, and its capacity is 12 million liters per day of clear water, and the experimental pumping and water production section will be launched on the fifth of Safar of this year".
"The staffs of the holy shrine linked the project, which was completed for about 70 days, to the water network connecting to the province of Karbala,"al-Hashimi said.
