Engineering projects: the introduction of modern technologies this year to provide a safe environment for visitors of Arba'een

The Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine announced the introduction of modern technologies this year to provide a safe environment for visitors to the Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

Engineer Firas Hamza, the official of the Communications Division of the Department, said that "the Department's preparations for the Ziyarat Arba'een include the introduction of modern and advanced technologies, including the establishment of an integrated communications network covering all major axes leading to the holy city of Karbala, to provide a smooth and effective communication service for visitors".

"Work has been done to develop an electronic monitoring and protection system using modern technology to ensure the security and safety of visitors of the Arba'een, in addition to providing guidance stations for the lost with their technical needs to facilitate their work, with 35 stations spread on the routes of visitors,"he added.

Hamza added that" the preparations are being made in cooperation and coordination with the official authorities represented by government agencies, as well as service agencies, "pointing out that"their goal is to contribute to the success of the major Ziyarat and facilitate the movement of visitors and provide a safe environment for them."
