The Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has doubled its production capacity of potable water in preparation for the Ziyarat Arba'een.
The official of the water division in the Department, Engineer Ahmad Amjad, said:"the division has worked to prepare desalination plants located on the roads leading to the holy city of Karbala, to operate at full production capacity to provide potable water to the visitors of the Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)".
He added that"the division has installed a desalination plant with a capacity of (3000) liters per hour on the road (Babylon - Karbala) in addition to the establishment of another station on the axis (Baghdad - Karbala) in Husseiniya district, with a capacity of (1000) liters per hour".
He added that "the division's staff has doubled the production capacity of the central desalination plant to supply the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) with water, in addition to the Husseini processions surrounding the holy shrine through cooperation with the Water Division in the Service Affairs Department".
These works come under the direct guidance of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, to provide safe drinking water for visitors to the Arba'een and hussayni processions, in addition to residents of the areas surrounding the desalination plants, according to the official of the division.
