Maintenance Department: completion of 85% of the works of shading the “Ya Hussayn road” between Najaf and Karbala with Saran cloth

The maintenance and engineering construction department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine confirmed the completion of 85% of the works of shading the "Ya Hussein road" connecting Najaf Al-Ashraf and holy Karbala with Saran cloth.

The head of the Department, engineer Qassim Hadi Nouri, said that"the completion rates of shading the (Ya Hussayn) road with Saran cloth reached 85% for a distance of more than 50 thousand square meters, starting from the Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) Service Complex towards the holy city of Karbala".

"The works are being carried out under the direct guidance of the Senior Official of the holy shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, and in coordination with the local government in the province of Karbala,"he added.

"The project aims to protect visitors heading to the city of Karbala to revive the Blessed Ziyarat Arba'een from the rays of the sun and face rising temperatures,"said Nouri.
