The media department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine opened the Media Center for the Ziyarat Arba'een to facilitate the tasks of journalists and media institutions to participate in covering the rituals of the Ziyarat.
The head of the Department, Mr. Ali al-Badri, said that "the department opened the Media Center for the Ziyarat Arba'een under the guidance of His Eminence the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, and a follow-up from the secretary general; Sayed Mustafa Mortada Aal Dia-Uddin, to provide services to journalists and media institutions participating in covering the Ziyarat rituals".
He added that " the technical staff in the Department have made efforts to facilitate the work of journalists, to convey the facts of the Blessed Ziyarat," explaining that "the center, which was opened for the second year in a row in a new suit, includes a work plan that corresponds to the size of the Ziyarat and the Millions of visitors, and provide places for press interviews, and another to store the equipment and luggage of media professionals.
"The center also provided special places for media workers to rest and facilitate the process of their movement inside the two holy shrines and between the Two Holy Shrines and their approaches, and the plan for this year witnessed a qualitative expansion through the opening of two additional platforms for satellite channels, for the purpose of conducting interviews and recording outdoor television programs, then directly convey the atmosphere of the Ziyarat and put the viewer in the spiritual atmosphere of the holy city of Karbala,"al-Badri stressed.
He pointed out that"in order to facilitate the process of obtaining badges and filming permits, an electronic application has been launched that facilitates the process of filling out data and notifying journalists of the available services and coverage, where the journalist can fill out the form before arriving at the media center, and receive the license upon arrival".
