The minister of Interior, Mr. Abdul Amir al-Shammari, praised the services of the Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas complex (PBUH) for visitors to the Arbaeen of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
This came during the visit of Al-Shammari and his accompanying delegation to the complex, and met with the member of the board of Directors of the holy shrine, Mr. Jawad al-Hasnawi, and a number of its officials.
The meeting witnessed deliberation on the needs of visitors and the various services they need, including the provision of water, ice and food, especially in the Karbala – Najaf axis, in addition to reviewing the services provided by the holy shrine to the processions spread on the road of visitors coming on foot to commemorate the Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
A member of the board of Directors of the holy shrine, and responsible for the complex, Mr. Jawad al-Hasnawi, said that "the visit of the minister to the Aba al-Fadl Abbas complex (peace be upon him) came in order to review the preparations of the complex to receive visitors".
"The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine has completed the complex's facilities in record time with a major expansion process, including the addition of new halls and various service joints to accommodate as many visitors as possible,"he added.
The total area of the complex, with the men's and women's sections, is 15 dunums, distributed over the central halls with 15,000 square meters and 600 meters for the health center, while the health complexes occupied an area of 2,000 square meters.
