Air conditioning department: the central cooling capacity inside the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine and its surroundings reaches 6000 tons during the Ziyarat Arba'een

The air conditioning and cooling department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine confirmed that the central cooling capacity inside the holy shrine and its surroundings reaches 6,000 tons during the Ziyarat Arba'een.

The head of the Department, engineer Firas Mohammed Saleh, said that"the department provides various services, including the operation and maintenance of appliances and cooling systems, in order to ensure their operation around the clock, in addition to the installation and maintenance of water coolers and ice Labs belonging to the holy shrine scattered in the Old area, in addition to providing cold water to visitors in the areas surrounding the holy shrine."

He added that " the central cooling service includes multiple places, including the Holy Courtyard, the Sanctuary and the vicinity of the holy shrine, with a total cooling capacity of up to 6,000 tons, and works at full capacity during the Ziyarat Arba'een period to provide the appropriate environment for visitors to perform their devotional work."

Saleh explained that "the department has installed a system to provide a suitable atmosphere for visitors in Umm Al-Baneen(peace be upon her); in order to provide a suitable temperature inside the basement and ventilate it, because it can accommodate up to 3000 visitors."

He explained that"the services provided by the department at the external sites of the holy shrine, including the installation and maintenance of refrigeration and freezing devices of various kinds, in the Sheikh al-Kulayni complex on the axis (Baghdad - Karbala), the procession of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) in Najaf Ashraf, and Al-'Alqami complex on the axis (Babylon-Karbala)".

He continued, "the department is working with great and double effort inside the Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas complex (peace be upon him) located on the axis (Najaf - Karbala) dedicated to serving visitors, as the complex includes several laboratories for the production of crystaline ice and blocks; because it is a central distribution area for the other sites of the holy shrine and the hussayni processions on the axes(Najaf - Karbala) and (Babylon - Karbala), with a production capacity of more than 70 tons of crystaline ice and 26 tons of Ice blocks".

He pointed out that"the air conditioning and cooling department provides other services inside the complex, including special stores and refrigerators for freezing and storing food supplies, fruits and meat, and cooling water that is distributed to visitors for drinking, in addition to installing cooling devices on all joints of the complex from Halls, rest rooms, visitors' dormitories, bathroom complexes, and outdoor squares in front of the complex are dedicated to the accommodation of visitors and performing prayer."
