The Host Restaurant Department at the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine announced that it provided about 6 million meals to visitors of the Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), until the eighteenth of the month of Safar.
The administrative assistant to the head of the Department, Mr. Alaa Abdul Hussein, said that "the Host Restaurant Department continues its work in serving the visitors of the Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), where it provided about 6 million meals until the eighteenth day of the month of Safar".
"The department is also working on preparing meals for a group of parties involved in organizing and securing the movement of visitors, such as security forces, medical staff and volunteers, after obtaining official approvals,"he added.
Abdul Hussein continued that "our staff provides its services of main meals, snacks, pastries and sweets in many locations, including Al-Hawra Street(peace be upon her), Imams al-Hadi and al-Askari complexes(peace be upon them), Qibla Al-Abbas Street(peace be upon them), the Najaf Sea site, Gate al-Imam Al-Jawad(peace be upon him), Imam Ali Street(peace be upon him), and others, in addition to a number of other outlets on the roads of visitors leading to the city of Karbala".
In addition, the department produces large numbers of bread and Samoon to be served with meals, as it has provided a number of bakeries and ovens for this purpose, through several locations, including two sites for bread and Iraqi Samoon on Al-Hawra Street(peace be upon her), and two sites for electric ovens, in the cooperative shop and Maytham al-Tammar Street.
