The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is present at the Baghdad International Book Exhibition..

Within its participations in the international book exhibition, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine represented by the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs along with many local and international publishing houses have taken part in the events of Baghdad International Book Fair, held under the slogan "each has an opinion and the knowledge is for all" between the 16th to the 26th of April 2015.

The Baghdad International Book Fair is one of the events that the department of intellectual and cultural affairs has in its agenda, as it is one of the important international cultural events and it is an opportunity to get to know others' productions and to introduce the intellectual and cultural publications of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, as well as to keep up with the intellectual, scientific and cultural movement and to access the latest publications of the local, Arab and international publishing house and institutions. This Book Fair is one of the most important event that contributes to the development of the intellectual prospects.

The pavilion of the holy shrine has included more than 122 various titles, all of which are produced by the units and divisions of the department of intellectual and cultural affairs. Also, there was a display of a range of artwork such as printed images on glass, porcelain and wood planks in various sizes and forms.

Since the first days, the pavilion of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine was visited by a lot of visitors who described it by the unique and the remarkable, as it aims to highlight the cultural productions and experiences of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine through its diverse publications, which were available for the visitors.

It is noteworthy that this exhibition's edition is organized by the Knowledge Foundation for Printing and Publishing in cooperation with the General Company for Exhibitions, the Iraqi trade companies and the Federation of Iraqi publishers. The participating companies this year are 120 publishing houses from 12 countries such as Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, UAE, Iran, India, United Stated... And within the cultural and literary events accompanying the exhibition, meetings and seminars will be held in addition to sessions of signing books by their authors.
