The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine issued statistics of the cultural and logistical services provided in the Ziyarat Arba'een, for four sites affiliated to it.
The head of the Department; Sayed Aqeel al-Yasiri, said:"the number of beneficiaries of the cultural and logistical services provided during the Ziyarat Arba'een reached about 240,000 beneficiaries through our cultural and service stations, which amounted to 19 stations on the visitors' route with the participation of a number of centers and divisions affiliated to the Department.
He added that"cultural services included providing consultations, organizing competitions, distributing intellectual publications and brochures to visitors, while answering their questions, as the number of beneficiaries reached more than 140,000 beneficiaries".
"The service side included the provision of more than 100,000 meals, the distribution of more than 310,000 glasses of water and more than 61,000 glasses of juice and ice cream,"he said.
The Islamic applications and Software Center confirmed that the number of beneficiaries of the service of supplications and visits in the Haqeebat al-Mo'min Application reached more than (44) million users in the Ziyarat Arba'een.
The director of the center, Mr. Ali al-Jayashi, said: "the statistics of the beneficiaries of the prayers and visits service in the Haqeebat al-Mo'min Application amounted to (44,162,046) readings, in addition to other application services that included the visitor guide service, as the number of its users reached (967,399) users, The Walking meter service which reached (1,019,094) users, as for the number of steps calculated (31) billion steps, as well as the number of children who were registered in the 132,941) children".
He added that"the application is one of the most important religious applications in the Islamic world, because it provides various services throughout the year, especially in Ziyarat Arba'een within the plan of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
As for the Al-Qamar Cultural Forum center, it revealed the provision of cultural services to more than (30,000) visitors, through (7) stations in the Ziyarat Arba'een.
The director of the center, Sheikh Harith al-Dahi, said: "we opened (7) cultural stations in the Arba'een season, distributed between Basra, Dhi Qar and Babylon, as well as three stations distributed to the main axes of the city of Karbala and one for the center".
He added, " through these stations, we provided cultural and intellectual services to about (28,100) beneficiaries, with the provision of about (1,000) intellectual questionnaires, in addition to the distribution of (2,500) pamphlets and an intellectual brochure for visitors," indicating that "the work was not limited to cultural aspects only, but also included the provision of other logistical services, as about (180,000) cups of water and(28,000) cups of juice were distributed to visitors heading to Holy Karbala."
The Center for African Studies stated that the number of visitors benefiting from its services in the procession of Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) in Najaf reached more than (40,000) beneficiaries.
The official of the preaching unit at the center, Mr. Muslim al-Jabri, said:"during the Ziyarat Arba'een, the procession provided services to more than 40,000 beneficiaries, which included the distribution of about 3,600 meals a day, and 4,000 cups of water and juice."
He added that "the work in the procession was not limited to providing logistics services only, but also developed a Quranic station to teach visitors the correct reading of Surah Al-Fatiha and short Surah, the aim of which was to enhance the spiritual and religious aspect of visitors".
The procession of the dean of Bani Hashim (peace be upon him), which is supervised by the department, also provided about (20,000) meals during the Ziyarat Arba'een, with more than (2,500) daily meals, in addition to providing more than (26,000) cups of natural juice.
