A consultant surgeon at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital has revealed the success of his team in saving a patient from blindness as a result of the aggravation of sinus growths and damage to the left eye.

The specialist of ear, nose and throat surgery at the hospital, Dr. Nadhem Omran, said that "a fifty-year-old patient was received suffering from fungal sinus growths and their transfer to the left eye socket, and his condition required careful examinations, including the examination (bit scan), indicating that "the tests revealed eye damage clearly and was threatened with blindness, which necessitated an emergency operation to save her."

He added, We performed an emergency endoscopic operation and cleaned the sinuses and the eye socket, and we were able to help the patient regain his normal position early, and prevent his condition from reaching blindness, stressing that "the patient was discharged from the hospital in a stable state of Health".
