The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine replaces the banner of the dome of the Shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

The Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine replaced the banner of the dome of the Shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) from black to red, coinciding with the advent of the month of Rabi ' al-awwal (1446 AH).

The staffs of the Holy Shrine raised flags and black banners from the minarets, the arcades of the Holy courtyard, the holy shrine, and the outer fence.

The assistant head of the Department of caring for the holy shrine, Sheikh Zain al-Abidin Al-Quraishi, said that "the staffs of the Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine have completed the process of replacing the blackness in which the holy shrine and the holy sanctuary were nominated starting from the first of the month of Muharram until the last day of the month of Safar, marking the arrival of the first month of Rabi' Awwal, and farewell to the season of Sorrows of Ahl al-Bayt (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them), to announce through this the end of the hussayni mourning season, which lasted two consecutive months, and was full of mourners who came from different parts of the Earth.".

He added that"the work of removing the blackness started from replacing the flag that tops the dome from black to red, down to the holy sanctuary and replacing the black banners, in addition to the rest of the sides and corners that surround the holy sanctuary and the Holy courtyard to end up removing the remaining sighs of sadness that swept the external walls, doors and the rest of the corridors over the past two months."
