The city of Samarra witnessed the influx of large numbers of visitors, from inside and outside Iraq, to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Askari (peace be upon him) at his holy shrine.
The visitors performed the ceremony of Ziyarat and mourning, and a symbolic funeral was held for the imam (peace be upon him) with the wide participation of the followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
As part of the preparations to receive these crowds, the city has witnessed a security, service and health alert for several days in order to provide various services to visitors. The service processions coming from the governorates of Iraq contributed to providing food, drinks and resting places for visitors.
For its part, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has been providing its services in Samara for four days in cooperation with the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-Askari (peace be upon them), in order to ensure full support for visitors and facilitate their performance of the Ziyarat and mourning ceremonies.
