The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine participates in the Sixth International Book Fair of Al-Jawadayn (peace be upon both of them)..

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine represented by the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department participated in the Sixth International Book Fair of Al-Jawadayn (peace be upon both of them) held by the Al-Kadhimiyah holy shrine to coincide with the birth anniversary of Imam Mohamed Al-Jawad (peace be upon him), in the square of the Al-Murad Gate outside the holy shrine, and will last for ten days from the 9th of Rajab 1436 corresponding to the 28th of April, 2015.

The Deputy Head of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, Sayed. Abd Al-Hussayn Al-Yassiri explained to the Al-Kafeel Network: "For the sixth year in row, the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs takes part in the International Book Fair of Al-Jawadayn. These participations are to show the achievements of the holy shrines in term of the progress in the intellectual and cultural sides, as the holy shrines are not only places to perform the Zyarat rituals but become beacon for the intellectual and cultural productions, and this participation aims also to display the latest publications in various fields, whether scientific, academic, ideological or doctrinal, in addition to the display of the newspapers and magazines issued by the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine."

Adding: "There is about 140 books titles in the pavilion of the Al-Abbas's ~(p) holy shrine in addition to many leaflets. And we hope that in the coming years the participation will be wider and the period of the exhibition longer, and that the situation of the country will be more stable so the holy shrines can participate in the exhibition."

The number of the participating publishing houses has reach this year more than 50 local, Arab and foreign Publishing Houses from Syria, Lebanon and Iran as well as the holy shrines of Imam Ali, Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) and holy sanctuaries. And the pavilion of the Al-Abbas's (p)P holy shrine since the first day had a high turnout from the visitors of the exhibition who came to see the varied publications of the pavilion. The General Secretary of Al-Kadhemiyah holy shrine, Dr. Jamal Ad-Dabbagh has praised on the pavilion of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine during his visit, where he has listened to a brief explanation about its cultural publications and activities.

It is noteworthy that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participate frequently in various exhibitions and festivals within and outside Iraq,including this Book Fair, in order to spread and publicize its activities and the its latest achievements and progress in both cultural and urban fields.
