Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine: we continue to collect aid and provide it to the Lebanese people

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine confirmed its continuation of collecting donations and relief aid to the Lebanese people in response to the call of the supreme religious authority.

A member of the board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Mohammad al-Ashigar, said that the holy shrine, in cooperation with the good people from the faithful, has begun to provide various assistance, including dry and wet food items, stressing that "priority was given to shipping quantities of infant formula and the main foodstuffs to meet the necessary needs of the Lebanese people."

"Aid trucks have set off to reach those in need in Lebanon and Syria, including refugees who are staying in displacement areas or who are expected to arrive in Iraq,"al-Ashigar explained.

He continued that "medical supplies and medicines have been prepared for the wounded and sick, which will be added to the shipments sent to the needy," noting that "the Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine has formed specialized committees under the guidance of its Senior Official; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, including a committee to collect donations in kind, a committee to receive cash donations, a committee to prepare shelter supplies, in addition to a special committee to visit refugee camps in Lebanon and Syria and assess their needs."

Al-Ashigar pointed out that in the framework of supporting refugees living in difficult conditions, including those who are sleeping on sidewalks and roads, the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine has collected and provided quantities of necessary furnishings that will be sent as part of aid shipments.

The board member praised the role of all departments of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine in organizing, classifying and storing these materials, stressing the continuation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in providing humanitarian assistance and solidarity with the Lebanese people and brotherly peoples in difficult circumstances, seeking to alleviate human suffering with all possible effort and resources.
