The relief and support division at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced that its teams have managed to reach the farthest border point between Syria and Lebanon, to provide humanitarian assistance to displaced families.
The official of the division, Sheikh Haider al-Aredhi, said that"these efforts come in response to the call of His Eminence the supreme religious authority; Sayed Ali al-Sistani, who issued a statement calling for the conduct of relief convoys to the brotherly Lebanese people, and within the framework of these directives, the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine conducted several convoys loaded with humanitarian aid in order to alleviate the suffering of displaced people in those areas."
He added that"relief teams managed today to reach the farthest border point between Syria and Lebanon, where they received displaced families and conveyed to them the greetings of His Eminence Sayed Ali al-Sistani, and the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi".
Al-Aredhi pointed out that"this visit aims to support the affected families and give them some financial assistance, so that they can improve their living conditions until the relief convoys coming from the city of Imam al-Hussayn(peace be upon him) reach those areas".
