Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine launches a third convoy loaded with more than 1,200 tons of necessary materials for the displaced Lebanese

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has launched the third convoy of aid as part of its campaign to support and relieve the Lebanese people after the recent Zionist attacks.

The convoy set off from the holy city of Karbala in the presence of the secretary-general of the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine; Sayed Mustafa Mortada Aal Dia-Uddin, the chairman of the Relief Committee; Sayed Mohammad al-Ashigar, and the director of the Office of the Senior Official; Sayed Afdhal al-Shami.

"The relief campaign is a continuation of the previous humanitarian campaigns of the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine, and it comes in response to the call of the supreme religious authority in Najaf, and the directives of His Eminence, his Senior Official; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, to do what contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Lebanese people and securing their humanitarian needs,"said Sayed Aal Dia-Uddin.

He added that"the third relief convoy includes about 1,200 tons of food, medicine, fuel and water, distributed on 55 trucks, which is a continuation of the humanitarian efforts provided by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in such humanitarian crises".

He pointed out that"the third convoy included all the various medical and food supplies needed by the Lebanese displaced, whether in Syria or inside Lebanon, and also included the necessary materials to equip mobile clinics to provide assistance to the wounded, and work to transfer them to the Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital in Karbala, in addition to supporting the field hospital established by the holy shrine in Syria".

He explained that" this convoy will be followed by other convoys in coordination with the Iraqi government, the concerned authorities in Syria and Lebanon, "noting that"a large part of the aid comes with the support of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, in addition to donations made by believers and Husseini processions in response to the appeal of the supreme religious authority."

The secretary-general stressed that "the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine received the displaced Lebanese who arrived in the holy city of Karbala, and they were accommodated in hotels affiliated to it, in addition to the hotels that were rented to provide them with adequate housing".

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has sent two convoys with hundreds of tons of food, medical and other logistical assistance, in addition to equipping a field hospital and another mobile hospital, which includes a team of doctors, and establishing a central kitchen to prepare food for displaced families in the shelter centers scattered in the affected areas,"he said.
