Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine holds a coordination conference for relief units participating in supporting the Lebanese people

The general secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held a coordination conference for relief and support units involved in helping the Lebanese people.

The assistant secretary general of the holy shrine; Sayed Maytham al-Zaidi, said that "the Coordination Conference was held by the relief and support division under the guidance of the secretary general of the holy shrine, with the participation of support units in the Iraqi provinces, contributing to the provision of food, medical and other assistance to the Lebanese people."

He added that"the conference included honoring the director of the Office of the Senior Official of the holy shrine; Dr. Afdhal al-Shami, to the representatives of the units that interacted with the appeal of the religious authority, and participated with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in its campaign to relief the Lebanese people by providing donations and assistance."

"The conference stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination in organizing relief efforts, commensurate with the scale of the tragedy faced by the Lebanese people, and coordinating them to determine the specifications and quality of the required materials and organize relief convoys,"he stressed.

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine had sent three relief convoys, including an air convoy and two by land, and more than 1,300 tons of food and medical supplies were sent to the Lebanese people, and a mobile field hospital was opened to treat the wounded Lebanese in Syria, in addition to opening a host and a central kitchen there, according to al-Zaidi.
