The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine: we seek to deepen the understanding of the thought of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) and his history

The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine emphasized its quest to deepen the understanding of the thought of Imam al-Hassan(peace be upon him) and his history, and to provide a vision that combines scientific analysis and objective criticism.

This came during the speech of the Sheikh al-Tusi Center for studies and investigation of the supreme authority for the revival of heritage at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, delivered by Dr. Abdul Hakim al-Safi during the launch of the eleventh international scientific conference of the thought of Imam al-Hassan(peace be upon him) in Najaf.

The conference will be held under the auspices of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) under the title: (Imam al-Hassan-peace be upon him - a messenger curriculum) in Najaf, and organized by the supreme body of the Hilla project, the city of Imam al-Hassan al-Mujtaba(peace be upon him), in cooperation with the Sheikh Tusi Center for studies and investigation affiliated with the supreme body for the revival of heritage at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

Dr. Abdul Hakim al-Safi said that "the scientific committee of the eleventh international conference on the thought of Imam al-Hassan(peace be upon him) in Najaf has chosen a different approach than in previous years, as we thought this year that the conference would be an opportunity to comprehensively review what has been written about Imam al-Hassan(peace be upon him), while providing an objective critical pause, including criticism of what has been written by dissenters, Orientalists and others, and focusing on aspects that have not been adequately studied.

"The conference was divided into four main axes, which dealt with Imam al-Hassan(peace be upon him) in the writings of Shiites and the writings of the Sons of other sects, and the writings of orientalists in addition to Imam al-Hassan(peace be upon him) in contemporary research and studies,"he added.

He continued, " the eleventh international scientific conference of the thought of Imam al-Hassan(peace be upon him) was keen to choose scientific research, focusing on providing new critical insights that reveal the positives and highlight the staffs that have not been adequately studied.

"The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine seeks through the conference to deepen the understanding of the thought of Imam al-Hassan(peace be upon him) and his history, and to provide a vision that combines scientific analysis and objective criticism of what was written about him, whether from authors or dissenters, we believe that the legacy of Imam al-Hassan(peace be upon him) should be a pillar in building the future of the Islamic nation,"al-Safi stressed.
