The second morning Research session of the second day of the second international specialized conference in information and libraries witnessed the discussion of six scientific researches.
The conference is organized by the Center for cataloging and information systems of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in cooperation with the Departments of information and knowledge technologies at the Universities of Mustansiriya, Basra, and Mosul, under the slogan (leadership in the field of libraries and Archives in the age of technology: challenges and opportunities to preserve heritage and empower knowledge).
The second morning session of the conference at the imam al-Hassan Hall (peace be upon him), chaired by Dr. Inaam Ali Tawfiq, included the discussion of three scientific researches, the first dealt with (developing librarians informatically in the light of professional competencies) by Dr. Abbas Hassan, while the second research was tagged with(using digital content management systems to improve information retrieval in digital sources) by researchers, Dr. Ali Al-Hurr, Dr. Wassen Sami, and researcher Rafal Nizar, and the third research was titled (Towards a future vision to promote sustainable development goals in public libraries) by researcher Dr. Jafar Hassan.
The second morning session of the conference in the Hall of Al-Qasem (peace be upon him), which was chaired by Dr. Khuloud Ali Araibi, included the discussion of three scientific researches, the first was entitled (the effectiveness of a training program based on inverted learning in the development of electronic archiving skills for digitizing University theses among libraries and information specialists in Arab Universities) for researchers Dr. Ahmed Al-Said and Su'ad Naim, Mr. Mohammed Sabah presented the second research (historical inks in manuscripts, factors affecting them and processing methods: a scientific study), while the third research was tagged with (libraries in the time of the web: Between the traditional heritage and the challenges of digital transformation) by Dr. Hala Ghalib and researcher Marwa Sarem.
By holding this type of conference, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine seeks to support the Departments of information and knowledge technologies in Iraqi universities, develop skills, exchange experiences in this field, and encourage researchers to use libraries and enable knowledge.
