The Ferdaws Family Entertainment project in Karbala governorate, affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, witnessed a large turnout of Karbala families a day after its opening.
The supervisor of the project, Mr. Kadhem Obada, said that"the project witnessed a wide turnout of families just a day after its opening, as it represents a new tourist destination that combines entertainment and Privacy, making it an ideal haven for the Iraqi family".
He added that "the Holy Shrine opened the Ferdaws project on Thursday (07-11-2024), in front of families for free for three days, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), and visitors will be able to enjoy and tour all its facilities, which include gaming areas, picnic areas and green spaces without any fees, and after the expiration of the three days, a small fee will be deducted from the families who wish to visit the project".
The project features a number of various recreational facilities, including a huge waterfall with a height of 18 meters and a width of 20 meters, in addition to small waterfalls that add aesthetics to the area, and it also contains private and public sessions that allow families to enjoy a comfortable and separate atmosphere, to ensure privacy and comfort.
The project includes football fields, a horse stud, an artificial river, in addition to a mosque, a restaurant, a fishing area from a large artificial lake, as well as a flower garden and another for birds, which gives families the opportunity to enjoy nature, as well as the possibility of moving through horse carts and small boats equipped with safety tools.
The project also includes a mud house reflecting the Iraqi heritage, where the products of companies affiliated with the holy shrine are displayed such as dates, honey, molasses and others.
The Ferdaws entertainment project is located in the west of Karbala governorate on an area of 80 dunums, of which 40 dunums were invested in the first phase, and it took two years to work on it.
