The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine receives a delegation from the cultural forum for political prisoners in Wasit governorate

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine received a delegation from the cultural forum for political prisoners and martyrs in Wasit governorate.

The director of the Office of the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; Dr. Afdhal al-Shami, said:"a group of families of martyrs and political prisoners during the time of the former regime from Wasit governorate had the honor to visit the Shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and met with them and discussed the general situation we are living under the current circumstances."

He added that"the meeting witnessed the emphasis on the importance of educating new generations and introducing them to the injustices suffered by Iraq during the era of the former regime, and the need to counter all attempts aimed at polishing the image of that regime in their minds, as well as pointing out the importance of those in charge of managing the country assume their responsibilities and work to serve citizens."

Al-Shami continued that"the delegation took the initiative to honor His Eminence the Senior Official of the holy shrine and the secretary-general, expressing their thanks and gratitude for the services provided by the holy shrines".

For his part, the secretary general of the forum; Sayed Mohammad Jawad al-Mousawi, expressed his thanks to the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine for its continuous support to the families of martyrs and political prisoners, praising its great attention and listening to the problems and obstacles facing them, and working to find appropriate solutions to them.
