The grids' manufacture Department announces the near completion of the maintenance of the Qibla gate of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

The Department of manufacturing the grids and gates of the holy shrines at the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine announced the imminent completion of maintenance work on the Qibla gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The head of the Department, Mr. Nadhem Al-Gharabi, said that"the grids' manufacture department is working on completing multiple projects, including the Qibla gate project of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon him), which maintenance work has reached its final stages, where it is witnessing great progress in the works".

He added that"the staff of the Department painted the gold pieces completely after dismantling them, and now works are being carried out to install them on the gate, to then be equipped and transferred to the place allocated to them in the Qibla gate of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon him) to install them again".

He explained that"the department is constantly working to keep abreast of the latest devices and tools used in the manufacture and maintenance of grids and shrines, to show them appropriately for the symbolism they carry".

The department has completed many works for the benefit of holy shrines inside and outside Iraq, including the grid of the shrine of Lady Zaynab(peace be upon her) in Syria.

The Department of manufacturing grids and doors of holy shrines is one of the specialized technical departments, which was established to meet the needs of the holy shrine of grids and doors of a distinctive artistic and religious character, and relies in its work on skilled technical staff and advanced devices used in design, maintenance, and implementation, while preserving the heritage and religious nature of the works.
