Al-Kafeel University and Al-Kafeel hospital organize a workshop to develop resuscitation and intensive care services

The Faculty of Medicine at Al-Kafeel University and Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital, in cooperation with the Unified Medical Association in the United Kingdom and Ireland, organized a specialized workshop to develop resuscitation and intensive care room services.

The consultant of medical education at the University, Dr. Hilal Al-Saffar, explained that "the workshop lasts for two days and combines theoretical lectures and practical applications in order to improve the performance of intensive care units according to international standards".

He added that"the workshop is characterized by the recruitment of experts from the United Kingdom to transfer the latest practices and modern therapeutic standards".

He pointed out that"the workshop represents the first step in a series of training courses aimed at disseminating the latest concepts related to intensive care units in Iraq".

For his part, the president of the unified Iraqi Medical Association in the United Kingdom and Ireland, Dr. Rafid Ismail, said that "the development of resuscitation services in Iraq is an important issue," noting that "the first day of the workshop included theoretical lectures at Al-Kafeel University, while the second day will be devoted to intensive practical applications inside Al-Kafeel Super Speciality hospital."

He stressed that"the aim of the workshop is to enhance the efficiency of doctors working in the field of resuscitation and qualify them to provide the best health care by acquiring modern skills and knowledge of the latest treatment methods".
