Surgeon at Al-Kafeel hospital: we always strive to develop work to perform advanced operations

Pediatric surgeon Dr. Sarmad al-Rubaie confirmed al-Kafeel hospital's endeavor to develop the work and prepare its staff to perform advanced and difficult operations.

"A two-year-old child from Baghdad province suffers from congenital colorectal paralysis, and when he was days old, he had an operation in one of the hospitals to ostomy the small intestine because there was a hole in it," Al-Rubaie said.

He added that"over the past two years, the child has visited many medical centers, and after visiting us at the Al-Kafeel hospital, we reviewed the case and decided to perform a surgical intervention for him to remove the damaged colon and connect the small intestine to the anal canal".

Al-Rubaie explained that," the child was prepared for surgical work, by conducting the necessary medical examinations, and then we performed the operation, which took about three hours, "stressing"the success of the operation and the recovery of the child after it".

He pointed out that"our medical team is used to performing such kind of operations, and the staff present at the hospital has great experience in this kind, and the hospital is constantly striving to develop work to perform advanced and difficult surgical operations".
