Coinciding with the blessed birth anniversary of the Moon of Bani Hashem, Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and within the events of the eleventh edition of the International Cultural Festival of Martyrdom's Spring, the centre of As-Siddiqah At-Tahira (peace be upon her) for female activities was opened on Saturday 4th Sha'ban, 1436 AH corresponding to the 23rd May, 2015 with the presence of the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Sayed Ahmed Al-Safi and the head of its projects' Department, administrators and representatives of the executing company.
This centre is one of the specialized projects adopted by the holy shrine, which aims promoting and developing the women's situation in a compatible manner with the Iraqi women's status and the nobility of the bright history of women in all fields and vital areas that are consistent with the teachings of Islam and the visions of the Imams of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
The attendees have listened at the opening of the centre to a detailed explanation by the implemented company including the general and specific project specifications in terms of materials, efficiency and the used modern and international execution ways, and how the company has worked under the supervision of the engineering projects Department for the construction of this important vital facility, which is considered one of the most important projects in the city of Karbala. And that the international materials used in the construction are of high quality and were subject to necessary laboratory tests, standardization device and the Iraqi quality control.
For his part, Engineer Dea' Majeed As-Sa'egh, the head of the engineering projects Department gave more details about the project: "The project is implemented on an area of 2100m2 by six floors, each of them on an area of 1550m2 except the basement which area is of 2100m2, the building height is of 33,20m. The Department was not only overseeing the implementation of this project, its conformity with the designs and tests, but it has also supervised some administrative matters that helped in the implementation of this project in accordance with its developed plans..."
