Al-Kafeel mineral water laboratory adopts modern technologies in water testing and treatment

The Al-Kafeel mineral water laboratory of Al-Kafeel Food Industries Company in the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has adopted modern technologies in the water testing and treatment laboratory.

The head of the desalination unit at the laboratory, Mr. Karar Ali, said:"the laboratory consists of several devices, most notably the basic device used to test raw water, in addition to another device dedicated to testing the RO water, as it measures the pH and salts in the water."

He added that"the laboratory is equipped with the latest devices that provide the highest accuracy in reading and analyzing samples, as the ratio of raw salts, chlorine and metals is measured with high accuracy, ensuring results that match international standards".

He continued that " the production process goes through several stages, starting with storing water in sedimentation tanks, then passing through sand and carbon filters, after which the water is filtered with cotton filters to remove fine impurities to make the water clear, but it contains a high percentage of salts, so the water is directed to the RO system, to be separated into two stages: the first is the "rajkat" stage, which contains a high percentage of salts, and the other is the RO Stage, which contains appropriate proportions of salts that make the drinkable water".

He pointed out that"at the last stage of production, UV sterilization is used before the final filling process and the water enters the machine; in order to ensure complete sterilization of the water in the mug".
