Closing ceremony of the eleventh edition of the International Cultural Festival of the Martyrdom's Spring..

Amid a large presence of religious, cultural and academic figures from inside and outside Iraq, and from the holy shrine of Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), the closing ceremony of the eleventh edition of the International Cultural Festival of Martyrdom's Spring, which was held by the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) under the slogan: "Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him): A divine mercy and a humanitarian call" to coincide with the birth anniversaries of the Mohammadian lights in the holy month of Sha'ban and which lasted for five days, was held on Tuesday 7th of Sha'ban 1436 AH corresponding to the 26th of May, 2015.

The ceremony started with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the word of the two General-Secretariats of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), in which he thanked all the participating delegations and praised on the efforts made for the success of this festival...

Followed by the word of the General-Secretary of the holy shrine of Imam Ar-Reda (peace be upon him), Sayed Jalal Uddin Al-Hussayni on behalf of the secretariats of the holy shrines and sanctuaries in Iran, in which he praised the tremendous efforts for the permanent and continuous development of this festival and spoke about the blessings of the shrines of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them)...

Then the poet Mahdi Janah Al-Kadhemi presented his poem about the extent love, brotherhood and solidarity between Imam Al-Hussayn, Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas and Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her).

The participating delegations in the festival also had interventions that Mr Salman Kalanj, President of Islamic institutions in the Philippines started by expressing his happiness for being present in this auspicious occasion in the holy place of the Master of the freemen, Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), thanking the two holy shrines for the invitation to this festival.

The second intervention of the participating delegations was of Mr. Hameed Asad Al-Qallaf, a development and training consultant from Kuwait, who highlighted some of the roles of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), from which we can be inspired.

Finally, it was the time for the word of the arbitration committee supervising the contest of the Hussayni documentaries, which was part fot his festival, delivered on their behalf by Mr. Ahmed Al-Suyufi from Egypt, who thanked the holy shrines for the organization of this contest and also for their generosity, and then gave a brief explanation about the role of the jury in this committee.

At the end, the results of this contest were announced, as the winners were:

- First prize: "khalidoon [immortals]" from Iraq directed by Azhar Al-Khamees.
- Second price: "Al-Hussayn; love and affection" from Egypt, directed by Mu'taz Mohamad Hassan.
- Third prize: "A server at your door" from Iraq, directed by Youssef As'ad and produced by Karbala Satellite Channel.

The Iranian film "Karbala, the geography of the history" of the director Karius Yari won the best film of narrative fiction award.

The closing ceremony was concluded by the distribution of prizes, gifts and appreciation shields to all those who participated and contributed in the success of this festival.
