The pharmaceutical sciences hub is witnessing the holding of a seminar on curriculum development

The pharmacology hub witnessed the holding of a dialogue seminar on the development of curricula to keep pace with scientific developments and meet the needs of the labor market.

The seminar came within the activities of the sixth international scientific conference of Al–Kafeel University, which will be held with the participation of the Universities of Toledo and Michigan from the United States, Al-Ameed University, in addition to Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital, for two days, January 7-8, 2025, and aims to support the scientific and research movement and provide a stimulating environment for researchers.

The dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University, Dr. Saad Mashkour, said: "Al-Kafeel University is keen to organize this scientific conference periodically, believing in the importance of scientific research in advancing development in various fields, especially in the field of Pharmacology."

He added, " The College held a dialogue seminar on the sidelines of the conference, which included a number of prominent figures in the field of Pharmacy and higher education, including: the captain of Pharmacists of Iraq, Dr. Haider Fuad al-Sa'egh, the chairman of the committee of deans of Colleges of Pharmacy in Iraq, Prof. Dr. Sarmad Hashim al-Khatib, director of the academic accreditation department in the scientific supervision and evaluation apparatus in the Ministry of Health, Prof. Dr. Yusra Mohammed Abdullah, and the chairman of the National Council for accreditation of Colleges of Pharmacy in Iraq, Prof. Dr. Shaima Nizar.

"The seminar discussed the development of the curricula of the faculties of Pharmacy, stressing the need to update these curricula to keep pace with the latest scientific developments and meet the needs of the local and global labor market, and the session witnessed a consensus among all participants on the importance of changing curricula to meet these requirements in a practical and effective manner,"he added.
